After going through the process of finding the right musicians Little Mckay Creek has finally found its true sound. The band consists of Scott Wilson as lead singer, Jerad Mitchell plays the drums, Nathane Fuller plays the low end and Josh Smith plays lead guitar. Together, the four put out an amazing, original sound. Fast or slow, cover songs or originals, they put the true feeling into their music. They began playing in local bars in Athena and Pendleton, OR. Soon they were being asked to play private parties, and night clubs. They now have spread their wings and travel to places like Lewiston, Boise, Eugene, Hermiston, Pendleton, and they manage to play in most of the clubs in between these cities. Some of the bigger venues for Little Mckay Creek are the Pendleton Round Up and Happy Canyon Show. You can see them perform in the Happy Canyon Arena every night of the Pendleton Round Up in September. On Saturday night there is close to 3000 people crammed into the arena for the dance. Chief Joseph Days is held in Joseph, OR at the end of July. Other shows are the Helix Rodeo, the Cowboy Christmas Ball, the Halfway Crab Feed, the Festival of Trees and many more. Some of the frequently played shows are The Pheasant in Hermiston, 127 Club in Meridian, Stockman's in Halfway, Oregon and 2 Doors Down in Lewiston Idaho. Two years ago Brad Paisley came to the Pendleton Round Up to perform. Little Mckay Creek was asked to open up for him. They performed in front of 5000 people like they had done it a million times. The pressure never got to them and the crowd loved them. The stage would just start shaking when the band started or finished a song. Their goal in the future is to do more opening acts for the major artists and to take the show on the road. They are opening for the Gourds in April, so things are looking up for the band. Little Mckay Creek is not just another band. When they go to a show they go to perform. Their goal is to please the crowd. Now the crowd can enjoy them when they are off the stage too. They have just recently completed their first album titled LMC - Wasnt All For Nothing. You can purchase them from the band or you can go to Hamleys or Reds Clothing and also Daves Food Mart to find them as well. You can check the band out also on the local band network.
