Gesa Power House Theatre rock, jazz, ballads Kate & the Crocodiles
Gesa Power House Theatre
$35
Kate & The Crocodiles will perform a concert at Gesa Power House Theatre on Saturday, November 2 at 7:00 p.m. Doors open at 6:00. Please join us before the show. Proceeds will benefit The Health Center. Kate & The Crocodiles are a Portland-based quartet who perform stunning indie rock originals and covers, early jazz and jazz standards, reinventions of ‘70s and ’80s rock as ballads, classical art songs mixed with rock (yes really), and other surprises from far and wide. If the spectrum sounds broad, it is all held together by a signature sound informed by classical training and a respectful blending of many genres. It’s like a warm conversation with a few good friends — good friends who just happen to like music as diverse as they are. When people ask what genre the band is, they say they couldn’t possibly choose just one. So the sky is the limit! Kate & the Crocodiles is comprised of Kate Morrison (vocals), Crag Bidondo (keyboard), Gavin Bondy (trumpet), and Brent Follis (drums). Reserved seating tickets ($35) are available online or by calling the box office at 509-529-6500. A small number of VIP tables (for four people) are also be available for $200 (includes a bottle of wine and stage-side seating).

Gesa Power House Theatre opera Live Cinema: "Don Giovanni"
Gesa Power House Theatre
$15 Adults; $10 Students
The 2019 Live Cinema Series continues at Gesa Power House Theatre with a screening of "Don Giovanni" by The Royal Opera on Wednesday, November 6 at 6:00 p.m. This production is filmed live in London and rebroadcast internationally to select screens. Sexual intrigue, jealousy, wit, anger… and retribution! Mozart’s engaging masterpiece follows Don Giovanni (Erwin Schrott), the women he serially seduces, and the vengeance that finally catches up with him. The opera is renowned for its ever-shifting portrayals of complex characters, fast-moving action and mix of the comic and the heartfelt. A cast of international singers – both familiar and making Royal Opera debuts – under conductor Hartmut Haenchen perform the glorious arias and ensembles of this opera favorite. Filmed during a live event, the Live Cinema Series broadcasts offer audiences an equivalent to the best seat in the house, with incredibly detailed close-ups of the performers. This production of "Don Giovanni" is a co-production with Israeli Opera, Gran Teatre del Liceu, Barcelona, and Houston Grand Opera. Don Giovanni is performed in Italian with English surtitles. This screening has an approximate runtime of 3 hours and 30 minutes, including one intermission. Beer, wine, popcorn, and snacks will be available for purchase, and may be taken into the theater. Reserved seating tickets ($15 Adults, $10 Students) are available online at www.phtww.com or by calling the box office at 509-529-6500. For group ticket sales, please call 509-876-1662.

Gesa Power House Theatre American Songbook America's Sweethearts
Gesa Power House Theatre
$35-$30
Gesa Power House Theatre presents America's Sweethearts in concert on Sunday, November 10 at 7:00 p.m. America has loved the swinging sounds of female close-harmony groups even before The Andrews Sisters hit the airwaves with "Bei Mir Bist Du Schön" in 1937, but audiences will hear those great vintage songs with fresh ears when America's Sweethearts take the stage in their fresh and vibrant show! These New York City-based ladies have performed across the United States at iconic spaces honoring our veterans (the Intrepid Air and Space Museum, the WASP Museum) as well as large theaters and intimate cabaret venues, getting crowds tapping their feet to hits like "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy" as they celebrate history through their crystal-clear harmony and colorful costumes. With selections from the Great American Songbook, classic Broadway, pop tunes from the 1950s, and jazz, America's Sweethearts charm audiences of all ages while navigating their way through a variety of trios, duets, and solo features - all served with a slice of old-fashioned fun! Reserved seating tickets ($35-$30) are available online at www.phtww.com or by calling the box office at 509-529-6500. Group ticket sales are available by calling 509-876-1662.

Gesa Power House Theatre opera Live Cinema: "Don Pasquale"
Gesa Power House Theatre
$15 Adults; $10 Students
The 2019 Live Cinema Series continues at Gesa Power House Theatre with a screening of "Don Pasquale" by The Royal Opera on Wednesday, November 20 at 6:00 p.m. This production is filmed live in London and rebroadcast internationally to select screens. Royal Opera favorite Bryn Terfel heads the cast for this new production of Donizetti’s comedy of domestic drama across two generations. The witty story of a middle-aged man whose supposed young wife runs rings around him – with her own ulterior romantic purpose in mind – has long delighted and surprised audiences, not least as presented with the sparkle of its music and the virtuoso skill of its performers. Damiano Michieletto’s exhilarating production shows how contemporary the characters still are and how immediate and touching the story remains. Filmed during a live event, the Live Cinema Series broadcasts offer audiences an equivalent to the best seat in the house, with incredibly detailed close-ups of the performers. This production of "Don Pasquale" is a co-production with Opéra national de Paris and Teatro Massimo, Palermo. "Don Pasquale" is performed in Italian with English surtitles. This screening has an approximate runtime of 2 hours and 30 minutes, including one intermission. Beer, wine, popcorn, and snacks will be available for purchase, and may be taken into the theater.
