Gesa Power House Theatre Classic Rock Pigs on the Wing - Pink Floyd Tribute
Gesa Power House Theatre
$28 Adults; $25 Students
Pink Floyd tribute band Pigs on the Wing returns to Gesa Power House Theatre with a new concert experience on Friday, October 11 at 7:00 p.m. The concert will feature a full performance of Pink Floyd's 1977 album "Animals" and a second full set highlighting Pink Floyd's Roger Waters-era catalog. Tracing its roots to a one-off performance in Portland in 2006, Pigs on the Wing has steadily developed a reputation for delivering a high quality, high energy take on Pink Floyd's music steeped in the Northwest's own rich musical heritage. All of the members of the band are seasoned veterans of the original rock scene and balance a decidedly un-tribute like attitude towards the music with a deep understanding of the precision and importance of Pink Floyd's music in many fans' lives. The result is a sound and experience both refreshing in delivery and yet true to the original – something the band believes sets it apart from other Pink Floyd tributes. Pigs on the Wing has long considered "Animals" to be their defining experience of Floyd (not to mention the band's namesake) - and perhaps the album best suited to their own high energy take on Floyd's catalog. "Animals" is Pink Floyd at their heaviest and most epic, weaving complex progressive rock arrangements into a single conceptual vision unlike anything the band had done before. Fans can expect Pigs on the Wing to deliver a precise, hard-hitting, true-to-the-music performance of the classic 1977 Animals album melded seamlessly with Pigs on the Wing's trademark willingness to explore the improvisational side of Pink Floyd's music - and to let their own musical strengths guide the journey. In the spirit of Pink Floyd, Pigs on the Wing's "Animals 2019" tour features an immersive visual dimension including a spectacular redesigned light show and live projection mapping for a concert experience unlike any other. Reserved seating tickets ($28 Adults; $25 Students) are available online or by calling the box office at 509-529-6500.

Gesa Power House Theatre Latin Bluegrass Che Apalache
Gesa Power House Theatre
$35-$20
Gesa Power House Theatre presents Che Apalache in concert on Friday, October 18 at 7:00 p.m. Che Apalache is a four-man string band based in Buenos Aires with members from Argentina, Mexico and the United States. The group’s founder is Joe Troop (fiddle), a North Carolinian multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter and composer who moved to Argentina in 2010 and taught bluegrass music to make a living. He now performs with some of his most dedicated students: Pau Barjau on banjo, Franco Martino on guitar, and Martin Bobrik on mandolin. Che Apalache began as a bluegrass band, but eventually incorporated Latin American styles into their repertoire. Combining instrumental prowess with tight vocal harmonies, they have created an authentic blend of genres to reflect the nature of their lives. Evoking images from Appalachia to the Andes, their debut album, “Latingrass,” is a testament to a powerful cultural and musical exchange. In 2017, Che Apalache won first place in the category of Neo-Traditional Band at the prestigious Appalachian String Band Music Festival in West Virginia. Reserved seating tickets ($35-$30 Adults; $20 Students) are available online or by calling the box office at 509-529-6500.

Gesa Power House Theatre folk singer-songwriter duo The Talbott Brothers
Gesa Power House Theatre
$28
Folk singer-songwriting duo The Talbott Brothers will be in concert at Gesa Power House Theatre on Friday, October 25 at 7:00 p.m. Blood is thicker than water and there’s nothing like family creating music together to prove it. With contrasting blood-harmonies and left-handed/right-handed guitar playing, singer-songwriter duo The Talbott Brothers combine rock, blues and pop with honest storytelling. Nick and Tyler were born and raised in Imperial, a small town in Southwestern Nebraska, just a stone’s throw from the Colorado border. They began writing and performing together before relocating to their mother’s birthplace of Portland, Oregon. Tyler, the youngest (lead vocals, baritone guitar, harmonica) and Nick, the oldest (backing vocals, lead guitar) discovered their love of music after digging their dad’s old dreadnaught guitar out of the basement and teaching themselves to play along to Johnny Cash, Bob Seger and the Beatles on vinyl. Reserved seating tickets ($28) are available online or by calling the Gesa Power House Theatre box office at 509-529-6500.

Gesa Power House Theatre rock, jazz, ballads Kate & the Crocodiles
Gesa Power House Theatre
$35
Kate & The Crocodiles will perform a concert at Gesa Power House Theatre on Saturday, November 2 at 7:00 p.m. Doors open at 6:00. Please join us before the show. Proceeds will benefit The Health Center. Kate & The Crocodiles are a Portland-based quartet who perform stunning indie rock originals and covers, early jazz and jazz standards, reinventions of ‘70s and ’80s rock as ballads, classical art songs mixed with rock (yes really), and other surprises from far and wide. If the spectrum sounds broad, it is all held together by a signature sound informed by classical training and a respectful blending of many genres. It’s like a warm conversation with a few good friends — good friends who just happen to like music as diverse as they are. When people ask what genre the band is, they say they couldn’t possibly choose just one. So the sky is the limit! Kate & the Crocodiles is comprised of Kate Morrison (vocals), Crag Bidondo (keyboard), Gavin Bondy (trumpet), and Brent Follis (drums). Reserved seating tickets ($35) are available online or by calling the box office at 509-529-6500. A small number of VIP tables (for four people) are also be available for $200 (includes a bottle of wine and stage-side seating).

Gesa Power House Theatre American Songbook America's Sweethearts
Gesa Power House Theatre
$35-$30
Gesa Power House Theatre presents America's Sweethearts in concert on Sunday, November 10 at 7:00 p.m. America has loved the swinging sounds of female close-harmony groups even before The Andrews Sisters hit the airwaves with "Bei Mir Bist Du Schön" in 1937, but audiences will hear those great vintage songs with fresh ears when America's Sweethearts take the stage in their fresh and vibrant show! These New York City-based ladies have performed across the United States at iconic spaces honoring our veterans (the Intrepid Air and Space Museum, the WASP Museum) as well as large theaters and intimate cabaret venues, getting crowds tapping their feet to hits like "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy" as they celebrate history through their crystal-clear harmony and colorful costumes. With selections from the Great American Songbook, classic Broadway, pop tunes from the 1950s, and jazz, America's Sweethearts charm audiences of all ages while navigating their way through a variety of trios, duets, and solo features - all served with a slice of old-fashioned fun!
