Gesa Power House Theatre rock, pop We Three
Gesa Power House Theatre
$35-$30 Reserved Seating
Gesa Power House Theatre presents We Three in concert on Saturday, January 19 at 7:00 p.m. We Three (siblings Joshua, Bethany and Manny) warmed hearts with their unforgettable 2018 "America’s Got Talent" audition in which they poured all their emotions into an original song, which they dedicated to their late mother, who passed away two years ago after a battle with cancer. They finished the season as semi-finalists and release their self-titled debut album in December. Joshua uniquely plays the Piano and Drums – sometimes simultaneously, Manny the Guitar, and Bethany the Bass. But there are no rules as each can adeptly swap instruments and often sound like a much larger ensemble. A strong lead vocal is complemented by lush harmonies that glide with superlative ease over complex arrangements that appear deliciously simple. We Three's original songwriting style is positive and purposeful, with smart lyrics and infectious melodies. Reserved seating tickets ($35-$30) will go on sale to the public on Thursday, December 13, online at www.phtww.com or by calling the box office at 509-529-6500.

Gesa Power House Theatre opera Live Cinema: "The Queen of Spades"
Gesa Power House Theatre
$15 Adults, $10 Students
The 2019 Live Cinema Series continues at Gesa Power House Theatre with a screening of the current Royal Opera House production of "The Queen of Spades" on Sunday, February 17 at 2:00 p.m. This production is filmed live in London and rebroadcast internationally to select screens. In Tchaikovsky’s intense opera of obsession and the supernatural, Gherman is caught between the woman he loves and a destructive fixation. "The Queen of Spades" is based on a short story by Pushkin, and comes to the Royal Opera House in a new production that has already garnered five-star reviews in Amsterdam. The production is set in 1890, the year of the opera’s premiere. In his study, Tchaikovsky imagines the opera into life as his own story, its characters giving voice to his unfulfilled desires. This is an engrossing portrayal of a tortured creative artist and a gripping piece of gothic storytelling. This screening runs approximately 3 hours 30 minutes including an onscreen introduction and one intermission. "The Queen of Spades" is performed in Russian with English surtitles. The cast includes Aleksandrs Antonenko and Eva-Maria Westbroek and is conducted by Antonio Pappano, Music Director of The Royal Opera. The Live Cinema Series broadcasts offer audiences an equivalent to the best seat in the house, with exclusive behind-the-scenes footage, interviews and incredibly detailed close-ups of performers. Beer, wine, popcorn, and snacks will be available for purchase, and may be taken into the theater. Reserved seating tickets ($15 Adults, $10 Students) will go on sale to the public on Thursday, January 10, online at www.phtww.com or by calling the box office at 509-529-6500.
